SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER

I've been a fool
Thinkin' I could survive
Thinkin I didn't need you
By my side

I should have seen the answers
Should've heard the call

(Chorus)
Should have known better
Than to let you go
Should have held on tighter
I shouldn't have let you run

I've been a little crazy
Since you walked out the door
That voice inside my soul
Wanted to run and hide

And I.. Should've seen the answers
Seen the writing on the wall
Should've held on tighter
Shouldn't have let you fall
(to chorus)

Bridge
What kind of fool
Would have let you go
I look in the mirror
And the answer is clear

And I.. Should've seen the answers
Seen the writing on the wall
Should've held on tighter
Shouldn't have let you fall
(to chorus)

I wrote a song called should have known better, and just thought I would share my words.

I know I know I know you seen it coming and it's barely even been a year to be low to be something less than perfect happy just to disappear.

Leaning on the back porch staring into nothing like it's nothing that I ever seen before if I stare enough I'll tune out everything and drift away so far away so far away

Chorus
And you read about the people that they should have known better but you never think you'll be the one reading through the back of the line. All you think about is your old enough and you should have known better better think again and get it right this time.

It's a year ago this time that hell was burning burning out of control so dark but so alive then something happend something I couldn't see pulled me out of hell and brought me back to me.

Chorus

Thanks C, I might do that in the future, but the words are coming too me so fast right now, I'm having trouble coming up with enough music.

If you want to give something a try, I have this thought in mind about a song called "Waiting for the Sun to Come Out".

All I have at the moment is:

Sitting on the back porch out in the dark I'm just waiting for the sun to come out.

I will play around with the line and see what happens! I sense something good from this!

I know exactly what you mean about the words coming fast. I have been in that "zone" myself when things just "click" lyric wise. A couple of months ago a banged out 20 some lyrics in a 2 week period. It was a very satisfying time for me creatively. I hope it keeps up for you!
